How much sugar is ok for ourselves and for our kids?
We tried to start the kids late on sugar but it was relatively easy for us with twins and they were our first. It's harder when you have already got older kids.
Home baking let me keep control of how much sugar they had a day and often I use less then stated in the recipe. We try the usual tricks of dates, nuts and all sorts of dried fruit and fresh fruit as substitutes.
I took the above picture to show the amount of sugar in a 200g pack of haribo, laying them all out made feel a bit sick, as you could never eat that amount in one sitting... but they are so yummy.
